Electroplating is an electrolytic process. Needless to say, the performance of its power supply, type, characteristics and other factors will have a significant impact on electro plating process. Especially today with the rapid development of modern electroplating technology, plating rectifier has more important position. Therefore, understanding the impact of electro plating rectifier to plating process is very necessary.

 

High frequency switching plating rectifier, also called as HF switching power supply:

Which is a new type electro plating machine plating rectifier – high frequency switching power supplies. It combines advantages of silicon rectifier waveform smoothness and silicon controlled rectifiers voltage easy adjustment, while has highest current efficiency (up to 90%), the most smallest volume, and needless to say, it is the most promising plating rectifier. Plating rectifier conversion:

Make the AC grid by EMI anti electromagnetic interference filter, direct rectification, filtering wave, by mean of inverter convert DC voltage into tens or hundreds of KHz square wave frequency, and then by high frequency transformer isolation, reduction voltage, then by high-frequency filter output DC voltage. After sampling, comparison, amplification and control, the drive circuit and power converter controls duty cycle of IGBT, obtained a stable output voltage (or output current).
High-frequency switching plating rectifier control tube in work state, the power consumption loss is small, that efficiency can reach 75% to 90%, small size, light weight, and accuracy and ripple factor are all better than silicon rectifier, in the full output range can achieve production required accuracy. Plating rectifier has self protection ability, can start and stop under loading at will. It’s very easy to connect with the computer, to bright great convenient to automatic production, so has been widely used in PCB electroplating industry.

 

 

Electroplating high-frequency switching plating rectifier main conversion structure has: forward converter, half bridge, full-bridge, etc., have pulse-width modulation (PWM) “hard switch” circuitry,also have popular phase-shift control “soft switch ” power circuit.
Pulse width modulation (PWM) HF switching plating power supply, its operating frequency mostly below 50 KHz, with a voltage or current feedback control.It change the drive voltage pulse width to alter output current by interrupting power flow and adjust the duty cycle method, make the device working in the “hard switching” state, ie forcing conduction (voltage is not zero) or forced shutdown (current is not zero), making the switching power transistor both exist high pressure and large current cross when switch on and off, therefor switching loss less, peak interference strong.

High press peak arose by transformer leakage inductance and high current change rate, not only easy to damage the power tube, also produce significant electromagnetic radiation, that reducing the reliability and power efficiency.Switching power supply plating rectifier frequency has reached audio frequency, through filtering wave to realize low ripple wave output is more easy.
